Jul 10, 2023Weber Grill sets sights on downtown Orland Park - The Regional News

Weber Grill – long known for its line of charcoal kettle grills – is looking to bring its restaurant brand to Orland Park’s new downtown development.
Weber has four restaurant locations – Chicago, Schaumburg, Lombard and Indianapolis. The restaurant, known for its charcoal-grilled cuisine, features a wide variety of items including premium steaks, burgers, BBQ and chef-driven specialties.
“This is an exciting addition to our community and a great first addition to the new development in Downtown Orland Park,” Mayor Jim Dodge said in a news release. “Weber Grill will enhance our dining options and attract visitors, making Orland Park an even more vibrant place to live, work and play.”
Many more businesses will be announced for the downtown area in the future, but Weber is on the ground floor at 143rd Street and LaGrange Road.
“This is exactly the type of tenant we envisioned when we first imagined Downtown Orland Park,” said Ramzi Hassan, president of Edwards Realty Company, which is running the downtown project.
“Weber Grill represents a high-quality, experience-driven restaurant that aligns perfectly with our vision to create a dynamic, walkable destination for the community.”
The project was initiated in March by Edwards Realty. It will also revitalize the current Crescent Park, to be named Heroes Park, with seasonal events and a scenic walkway.
The new Downtown Orland Park development, set to open next spring, is a $120 million project that includes over 140,000 square feet of retail and entertainment space. This 8,500-square-foot venue will feature indoor and outdoor seating along with a cooking school. The restaurant signed a 15-year lease. The overall project will be built in four phases and include 60,000 square feet for retail, 20,000 square feet of office space, 30,000 square feet for fitness centers and 10,000 square feet for day care businesses.
